Description
In this course, Prof. Arnold Weissman examines the nine stages of conflict escalation that can occur in companies and in family businesses in particular. Conflict in family businesses is often complex and can range from personal tensions to business disputes. The course shows how conflicts begin – often with seemingly innocuous disagreements – and how they can develop into serious escalations where relationships and the success of the business are at stake.
Practical examples are used to illustrate how conflicts escalate at different levels, from hardened positions to open attacks and retaliation. The course teaches valuable strategies and methods for recognizing conflicts at an early stage, de-escalating them and finding long-term solutions. A special focus is placed on the role of constructive cooperation and the importance of clear conflict rules that help to prevent escalation and promote a healthy corporate culture.
