Description
Systematic environment analysis: The S-T-E-E-P analysis – future viability through strategic analysis
The future viability of family businesses is increasingly influenced by external factors, especially in times of crisis and transformation. The S-T-E-E-P analysis (social, technological, ecological, economic, political) is a proven model for systematically recording and analyzing the relevant influences from a company’s environment. In this course, Prof. Dr. Arnold Weissman explains how the S-T-E-E-P analysis serves as the basis for a well-founded environment analysis in order to make targeted strategic decisions that prepare the company for future challenges.
The course also introduces the Q-Score model, which is used to scientificallyassess the future viability of family businesses. The model comprises ten important criteria, including real growth, financial stability, strategic planning, risk management and an efficient organization of resources.
