As part of the registration process, the user’s consent to the processing of this data is obtained (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.
We use the payment service provider WooPayments (operated by Automattic Inc., USA, via its subsidiaries, e.g. Stripe) to process payments. Your payment data (e.g. credit card number, account details) are processed directly by WooPayments or the payment service provider behind it. We do not have access to your complete payment data. The data required for sending emails (e.g. recipient email address, sender email address, subject, content of the email and technical sending information such as IP address of the sending server, timestamp) are processed via Hetzner’s servers. As Hetzner is already our processor for hosting (see section 4), this processing is covered by the existing DPA.
